An Act Concerning Reimbursement to Vision Care Providers in the Medicaid Managed Care and SAGA Program

The Human Services Committee has raised the CAO’s proposal to improve payments and reimbursements for vision services provided to SAGA and HUSKY clients.  The legislation, An Act Concerning Reimbursement to Vision Care Providers in the Medicaid Managed Care and SAGA Program, will require these fees to be the same as exist in the regular Medicaid program, which are higher.  It also provides direct access without referral for state-funded patients.  A bill number for this legislation—and hearing date—are  pending.
